NORTH WEST TEMPE COMMUNITY PLAN

NORTH WEST TEMPE COMMUNITY PLAN!
This is a community plan that was started over a dozen years ago to address concerns neighborhoods and communities had in regard to development in our neighborhoods.
After many years, and many, many meetings, plans, drafts and re-writes a final plan was submitted to Development Review Commission on Tuesday November 13, 2007.
Several "ANTI-COMMUNITY" leaders (out of area landlords and investors) gave voice over the voice of many, many members of this, our community, in what we want. The play was denied.
Is this right? To NOT have a say in our future neighborhood?
When did the rights of landlords and out of area investors become greater than ours? Have we not made a monetary investment as well as an investment of time?

Scumbags????

Scumbags want to come to your neighborhood! No kidding! Really, Scumbags want to open a business at 818 West Broadway Rd, in Tempe! This seems like a strange location for scumbags, between the pre-school and Pizza Hut in Broadway Village shopping center. Scumbags will be just around the corner from the little league field at Clark Park. Scumbags will be neighbors to the houses on 19th street.
There is a public hearing for the scumbags that you can attend. The scumbag hearing is set for Tuesday July 17th at 1:30 PM city council chambers, garden level. Cant make the scumbag hearing, no problem, below are ways you can comment on the scumbags coming to our neighborhood.

In writing: HEARING OFFICER
31 EAST 5TH STREET
TEMPE, AZ. 85281

by phone: (480)350-8359

Ever wonder what scumbags really are. Thefreedictionary.com has scumbags as a Noun/slang for "A person regarded as despicable". HHHMMM, Scumbags.
I guess you are questioning my vocabulary and why i would be calling people scumbags, you see, the business name is scumbags tattoo and piercing. Yep, i checked it out at the Arizona Corporation Commission's web site. Scumbags Tattoo & piercing!
One must wonder what type of clients they hope to attract? Scumbags i guess.

CRIME IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD

We are seeing more crime in the neighborhood. Burglaries, robberies, thefts, drugs and assaults. The best form of crime prevention is to know your neighbors. Granted this can be hard with so many households that change when school is out, but we still need to look out for each other. if you see something that just does not look right, it probably is not. Call the police department at 911 or at the non emergency number (480)350 8311 and report suspicious behaviour.

  • Be prepared to give a description including as many specifics as possible (i.e. who, what, where, what color, model, make, clothing, what direction they went, etc. )
  • Trust your instincts if something looks suspicious, it probably is - make the call!
  • Be smart, let the Police confront them. Not you!

We still need block watch captains!

Welcome to our neighborhood blog

Welcome to our neighborhood blog!
Since we are definitely a "Free Speech" zone what better way to communicate between neighbors. This can be a way to let people know what is going on in your block. Feel free to make comments and please send your blog suggestions to clarkparkna@cox.net
Be mindful of what you say, don't call people names, use vulgarities or racial slurs. Humor is accepted at all times.
Lets see where we can go from here.
Cheers!
